A fiber-optics-based multiangle light scattering instrument is presented, which permits time-resolved static and dynamic measurements. The scattered light is simultaneously collected at nine fixed directions using single and few mode fibers. Furthermore, a continuous range of scattering angles between 3.6° and 144.1° is obtained by changing the direction of the incident beam. The instrument is thus ideally suited for determinations of form and structure factors, which demand precise measurements over a large range of scattering angles, as well as for studies of aggregation phenomena or structural transitions, which require time-resolved multiangle measurements. © 1996 American Institute of Physics.
