    Description / Table of Contents: High-purity silicon is obtained by a reaction of tri- or tetrachlorosilane with hydrogen at high temperature. Thermodynamic calculation only give a true representation of the characteristics of the experimentally determined yield curves if gaseous silicon dichloride is included into the reaction equations. In combination with kinetic observations it is possible to explain the existence of a yield maximum that is dependent on temperature and molar ratio. The dissolving (etching) of silicon in the case of a slight excess of hydrogen can be explained in this way, too.
    Notes: Reinstes Silicium läßt sich durch eine Reaktion von Tri- bzw. Tetrachlorsilan mit Wasserstoff bei höherer Temperature gewinnen. Thermodynamische Berechnungen geben den Verlauf der experimentell gefundenen Ausbeutekurven nur dann richtig wieder, wenn gasförmiges Siliciumdichlorid in die Reaktionsgleichungen mit einbezogen wird. In Kombination mit kinetischen Betrachtungen läßt sich die Existenz eines von Temperatur und Molverhältnis abhängigen Ausbeutemaximums erklären. Die Auflösung (Anätzung) von Silicium bei geringerem Wasserstoffüberschuß kann auf diese Weise ebenfalls gedeutet werden.
