Notes:
Conclusions It has been shown that the defects arise mainly during the formation of the fibre in the coagulation bath. They are due to the inadequate purity of the viscose and of the coagulation bath and also to the appearance of hydrodynamic flows, surface forces, and normal and impact stresses on the yet-uncoagulated elementary fibre close to the aperture of the spinnerette.
