The Biogenetically Orientated Total-Synthesis of DL-Camptothecin and 7-ChlorocamptothecinThe biogenetically patterned transformation of the easily available indole derivative 3 via the compounds 4, 6, 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, and 24 into the anti-tumor alkaloid camptothecin (1) as well as 7-chlorocamptothecin (2) is described.
