Description / Table of Contents: Influence of external factors on the properties of Nylon 6 productsThe mechanical behaviour of PLASKON Nylon 6, produced by the Allied Chemic Corporation, is described. The external factors having the greatest influence on the mechanical strength are temperature and moisture. The increase in one of these factors has the effect of reducing the yield limit and the modulus of elasticity, and or increasing the ductility. If both factors increase simultaneously, the effect is not additive but is considerably smaller than the effect of either of them separately.
