Description:
Bismuth borate glasses containing MoO 3 content have been synthesized by the standard melt-quenching technique. The samples have been characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Frequency and temperature dependent conductivity measurements have been carried out in the range of 20Hz to 1MHz and in the temperature range of 373K to 623K respectively. The frequency dependent conductivity has been studied using both conductivity and modulus formalisms. The dielectric permittivity (ε' and ε"), electrical modulus (M*) and dielectric loss were also studied of the prepared glasses. The values of ε' and ε'' are found to decrease with increase in frequency.
