Summary The hydrogen of hydrogen-loaded palladium black can be determined quantitatively by oxidation with Pd2+ followed by precipitation of unreacted Pd2+ as PdJ2 and potentiometric titration of H+. The procedure is reliable also in μmol range. As regards radioactive syntheses using gaseous tritium this procedure is suitable to determine the loss of activity of tritium adsorbed at catalyst.

Zusammenfassung Der Wasserstoff in wasserstoffbeladenem Palladiummohr kann quantitativ durch Oxydation mit überschüssigem Pd2+, Fällung des Pd2+-Überschusses als PdJ2 und potentiometrische Titration des entstandenen H+ bestimmt werden. Das Verfahren arbeitet auch noch im μMol-Bereich zuverlässig. Es ist zur Bestimmung von Aktivitätsverlusten geeignet, die bei radioaktiven Synthesen mit gasförmigem Tritium durch Adsorption am Katalysator entstehen.
