Conclusions It was experimentally established that it is possible to use electrohydraulic-impulse pressing to improve the basic physical properties of articles prepared from low-plasticity refractory powders. The advantages of making articles by combined pressing, including static pressing in a rigid mold and final electrohydraulic-impulse pressing were demonstrated. We developed and studied various schemes for the method with solid specimens and sleeves. We determined the most effective ÉGIP schemes, ensuring the greatest density with the same energy reserves in the plant. The effect of various technical factors on the properties of the pressed articles was determined. Experimental technology was worked out for electrohydraulic-impulse pressing of refractories using process modeling. We produced an experimental batch of collectors and carried out production testing to show that they had better service properties.
