Abstract Crystallization of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) filled with insulating carbon has been studied in an inhomogeneous temperature field. It is shown that the material polarization during the melt-crystal transitions depends on the concentration of the filler. This results in a decrease of the temperature coefficient of polarization with the concentration of dielectric carbon. The temperature dependences of thermodynamic functions are calculated for the crystallization range of the crystals under study.
