    Description / Table of Contents: Aus der Schmelze kristallisierte Polyäthylenproben mit verschiedener thermischer Vorgeschichte wurden mit Hilfe der Ramanspektroskopie im niedrigen Frequenzbereich und mit Hilfe der Infrarot-Absorptionsspektroskopie untersucht. Die Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, daß das Reneker'sche “Defektmodell” des Schmelzens von Polymeren richtig ist.
    Notes: Melt crystallized polyethylene samples with different thermal histories have been studied by Raman spectroscopy, in the low frequency region, and infrared absorption spectroscopy. The data are shown to support the Reneker defect model of polymer melting.
