This paper presents an advanced BEM formulation for the solution of stationary problems of thermoelasticity taking into consideration the thermally induced non-homogeneity. An iterative scheme is used to determine the displacement fields because the formulation contains a domain-type integral with displacements. As compared with the existing BEM formulation, this one does not contain a domain integral of the temperature field and, furthermore, the integral representation of stresses is written in the regularized from. Consequently, all the integrals can be computed numerically by using the regular Gaussian quadrature.
