Transition from Stainless Steel to Metals of the Groups IVa, Va and VIa Produced by Solid State BondingWhen using expensive metallic materials very often transitions to other metals are necessary. To receive connections fulfilling proposed standards welding and brazing techniques must be used. A particularly suited process for joining different metallic materials is the solid state bonding. Connections produced by this method between stainless steel and metals of the group IVa, Va and VIa and the necessary interlayers of suited materials are described.

Beim Einsatz hochwertiger metallischer Werkstoffe sind sehr oft übergänge auf einen anderen metallischen Werkstoff erforderlich. Wenn eine brauchbare Verbindung benötigt wird, müssen Schweiß-oder Lötverfahren eingesetzt werden. Ein besonders geeignetes Verfahren für das Verbinden unterschiedlicher metallischer Werkstoffe ist das Diffusionsschweißverfahren. Es werden nach diesem Verfahren hergestellte Verbindungen zwischen Metallen der Gruppe IVa, Va und VIa mit Edelstahl unter Verwendung von Zwischenmetallen beschrieben.
