Conclusions 1. During earthworks by self-propolled scrapers it is necessary to take into account not only the hauling distance but also deepening of the borrow pit when standardizing their output. 2. Deepening of the borrow pit, e.g., by 10 m reduces the output of the MoAZ-546P-D-357M scraper by 27% for a 160-m haul and by 22, 18, 12, and 9% for respective hauls of 250, 400, 630, and 1000 m, i.e., deepening of the pit has a considerable effect on output for short hauls and negligible effect for hauls greater than 400 m. 3. The number of scrapers per pusher tractor during earthworks should also be corrected not only with a change in the hauling distance but also with deepening of the borrow pit.
