Description / Table of Contents:
Notes:
Summary An enzyme histochemical study is conducted on in vivo tissue cultures. In accordance with findings on granulation tissue it are predominantly oxidative enzymes which are influenced by the cell activity or rather the state of cell maturation. While the enzymatic pattern of the various reactive cells seems to be the same, their activity is different. Macrophages and giant cells are particularly active. The enzymatic pattern seems to indicate a preference for an anaerobic metabolism.
