Notes:
Abstract On the basis of the results reported in Ref. [9], the rate constant for the reaction O+CO+O2→CO2+O2 can be expressed as k=6.5×10−36 (3700/RT) cm3 mol−1s−1 in the temperature range of 400–500 K. It is suggested that the negative activation energy can be accounted for by the mechanism is a stabilized, excited ozone molecule, possibly in the triplet state.
