Notes:
Summary Perch-hopping activity patterns of pinealectomized and normal house sparrows,Passer domesticus, were examined by power spectral analysis and by analysis of daily totals. Power spectral analysis strengthened our previous conclusion that circadian periodicity is absent from the activity of pinealectomized birds kept in constant conditions. The spectral analyses also revealed that obvious ultradian rhythms are not present in sparrow perching activity. Pinealectomy had no effect on the daily activity totals.
