Summary The abundance of lines in the spectrum of uranium and the high boiling point of this element engender difficulties in its spectral analysis that are only partially overcome even with greater resolution. A procedure is given for determining the impurities in uranium based on a partial resolution. Some of the difficulties are avoided in the alternating current arc excitation. The partial resolution is accomplished with the aid of a mirror set in vibration electromagnetically. It can be combined with various spectrographs.
