Conclusions 1. From the results of experimental and industrial trials, the diesel fractions of the distillates obtained by coking the residua of low-sulfur petroleums, particularly Mangyshlak petroleum, may be recommended for hydrotreatment in pure form. 2. Diesel fuel with iodine number less than 6 g I2/100 g may be obtained by hydrotreatment of the coking distillates of residuum ata pressure of 30–32 atm, a feedstocktemperature of not less than 350 °C at the reactor inlet, and a volumetric flow rate of feedstock equal to 1.4 h−1.
