Summary The plasma constituents contributing to osmotic pressure are, in decreasing order: Na+, Cl−, HCO 3 − , K+, glucose, amino acids, urea and protein. Plasma osmotic pressure increases from 180 mmoles/1 to 200 mmoles/1 throughout development.
