Description: Accurate long-term temperature and precipitation estimates at high spatial and temporal resolutions are vital for a wide variety of climatological studies. We have produced a new, publicly available, daily, gridded maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and precipitation dataset for China with a high spatial resolution of 1 km and over a long-term period (1961 to 2019). It has been named the HRLT. The daily gridded data were interpolated using comprehensive statistical analyses, which included machine learning, the generalized additive model, and thin plate splines. It is based on the 0.5° × 0.5° grid dataset from the China Meteorological Administration, together with covariates for elevation, aspect, slope, topographic wetness index, latitude, and longitude. The accuracy of the HRLT daily dataset was assessed using meteorological station observation data. The maximum and minimum temperature estimates were more accurate than the precipitation estimates. For maximum temperature, the mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), Pearson's correlation coefficient (Cor), coefficient of determination after adjustment (R^2), and Nash-Sutcliffe modeling efficiency (NSE) were 1.07 ℃, 1.62 ℃, 0.99, 0.98, and 0.98, respectively. For minimum temperature, the MAE, RMSE, Cor, R^2, and NSE were 1.08 ℃, 1.53 ℃, 0.99, 0.99, and 0.99, respectively. For precipitation, the MAE, RMSE, Cor, R^2, and NSE were 1.30 mm, 4.78 mm, 0.84, 0.71, and 0.70, respectively. The accuracy of the HRLT was compared to those of the other two existing datasets and its accuracy was either greater than the others, especially for precipitation, or comparable in accuracy, but with higher spatial resolution and over a longer time period. In summary, the HRLT dataset, which has a high spatial resolution, covers a longer period of time and has reliable accuracy, is suitable for future environmental analyses, especially the effects of extreme weather.

Description: Innovations in molecular biology are allowing neuroscientists to study the brain with unprecedented resolution, from the level of single molecules to integrated gene circuits. Chief among these innovations is the CRISPR-Cas genome editing technology, which has the precision and scalability to tackle the complexity of the brain. This Colloque Médecine et Recherche has brought together experts from around the world that are applying genome editing to address important challenges in neuroscience, including basic biology in model organisms that has the power to reveal systems-level insight into how the nervous system develops and functions as well as research focused on understanding and treating human neurological disorders.

Notes: Flexural creep behavior is reported for an in situ-toughened SiC between 1100° and 1500°C in four-point bending. The flexural creep rate of this SiC, sintered with aluminum, boron, and carbon (ABC-SiC), exhibits linear stress dependence, low apparent activation energy, and low incidence of cavitation and dislocation production. Most grain boundaries in this ceramic contain 1–5 nm intergranular films. The creep rate is consistent with a grain-boundary transport mechanism involving diffusion along the grain-boundary film-SiC interfaces. The microstructure and grain boundaries have been examined using transmission electron microscopy to assess possible changes during creep, particularly in relation to the applied stress direction.

Notes: In the article, the electrical properties of single grains and single grain boundaries in donor doped BaTiO3 ceramics have been investigated. The results show that the grains have no positive temperature coefficient of resistance effect (PTCR effect) if the influence of electrode was neglected. The results also show that different grain boundaries have various PTCR effect. The characteristics of current-voltage do not follow the Heywang model and accord with our modified model. The maximum barrier heights of single grain boundaries are also deduced experimentally. © 1996 American Institute of Physics.

Notes: Effect of low temperature on anthocyanin accumulation in seedlings of Alternanthera bettzickiana and activity changes of calmodulin (CaM) and Ca2+-ATPase under low temperature were studied. Results indicate that the increase of anthocyanin content was obviously paralleled not only by the activity of CaM but also by the activity of Ca2+-ATPase. In addition, seedlings were pretreated with CaM antagonist [chlorpromazine (CPZ)] before low-temperature treatment in order to further investigate whether CaM plays a role in anthocyanin accumulation. CPZ pretreatment inhibited the activity of CaM and Ca2+-ATPase and caused a reduction in anthocyanin levels. Hence, it is concluded that CaM and Ca2+-ATPase were directly correlated with anthocyanin accumulation under low temperature, Ca2 ± CaM may be involved in low-temperature signal transduction leading anthocyanin synthesis.

Notes: By means of a vacuum induction furnace, Cu-Ag-Cr alloy were produced. The wear propertyand mechanism of Cu-Ag-Cr alloy are studied, and its property was compared with a Cu-Ag alloy. Themicrostructure of the Cu-Ag-Cr alloy before wear tests was analyzed by transmission electronmicroscopy. Worn surfaces of the Cu-Ag-Cr alloy were analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM)and energy dispersive X-ray spectrum (EDS). Wear tests were conducted under laboratory with a specialsliding wear apparatus that simulated the tribological conditions of sliding current collectors on contactwires, and alloy wire was slid against a copper-based powder metallurgy strip under unlubricatedconditions. The results show that the wear rate of Cu-Ag-Cr alloy increase with the increase in the slidingspeed and the sliding distance. Adhesive wear, abrasive wear and electrical erosion wear are thedominant mechanisms under the electrical current sliding processes. At lower sliding speed, adhesiveswear and abrasive wear are the major wear damage, while electrical erosion wear and adhesive wear arethe major at higher sliding speed. Under the same conditions, the wear resistance of the Cu-Ag-Cr alloyis 2~3 times of the Cu-Ag alloy

Notes: This paper analyzes the forming process methods of fin used in CPU chip to emit heat. The whole process is blanking, the first forging forming, the second forging (sizing), and trimming. The chamfer design of CPU fin blank is simulated by finite element analysis. The optimizedchamfer 1.6 mm is available. Semi-enclosed cold forging of progressive dies is put forward. Thenewly designed transfer unit is applied, which unifies the merit of high efficiency of the progressivedies and the high material-using ratio of the project die. Quick disassembly structure is designedand pins are used as quick disassembly pins by means of ball bearing bushing. The uniqueprocessing of the shearing scrap structure is adopted when designing the inverted trimming dies.Compared with the traditional die, the mechanization and electrization are realized to increase theproduction efficiency and get highly precise CPU fin

Notes: The aging process of lead frame Cu-Cr-Sn-Zn alloy has only been studied empirically by trial-and-error method so far. This paper builds up the prediction model of the aging properties via a supervised artificial neural network(ANN) to model the non-linear relationship between parameters of aging process with respect to hardness and electrical conductivity properties of the alloy. The improved model is developed by the Levenberg- Marquardt training algorithm. The predictedvalues of the ANN coincide with the tested data. So the ANN system is effective and successful for predicting and analyzing the properties of Cu-Cr-Sn-Zn alloy. The optimized processing parameters are available at 475 C ° -520 C ° aging for 2h-1h

Notes: Abstract Bacterial ferritin from Azotobacter vinelandii (AvBFo has a function in H2 uptake. The Fe3+ reduction on the surface of the iron core from AvBFo is accompanied simultaneously by H2 uptake, with a maximum activity of H2 uptake of 450 H2/AvBFo. A reduction potential of −402 mV for iron reduction on the surface of the core is found. A shift to the red the protein absorbance peaks ranging from 280 to 290 nm is observed between pH5 and 9 under 100% H2 reduction. The reduction potential for iron release becomes negative at a rate of 0.025 mV/Fe2+ released. The kinetics of iron release on the surface of the core is a first-order reaction.
