Notes:
Conclusions 1. We investigated the effect of gaseous atmospheres based on nitrogen with additions of CH4 and CO2 on the saturation of steels with different amounts of carbon at 900 and 950°. 2. To ensure a stable saturation process it is necessary to have a catalyst and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. 3. Raising the temperature to 950° and increasing the saturation time to 6 h do not improve the efficiency of the process.
