Conclusions Teeming of constructional and stainless steels with the use in the gate valves of mullite-corundum and mullite refractories, the production of which has been introduced in Semiluki Refractory Plant, has been introduced in No. 2 Electric Melt Shop of Red October Plant, The use of unfired MLBS-62 mullite sleeves and sleeve-collectors, which possess increased heat resistance and tests of which in service have shown the advisability and promise of their use, has been developed. The use of high alumina refractories in place of periclase ones provides a reduction in clogging of the steel-teeming channel and in crust formation in it in teeming of alloy steel.
