    Description / Table of Contents: Übersicht Die Schwingungen einer auf kompressibler Flüssigkeit liegenden Platte, die durch eine Axialkraft beansprucht ist, werden für den Fall analysiert, daß die Platte gleichförmig und unendlich ausgedehnt ist, und daß eine Last an der Platte angreift, die sich mit konstanter Geschwindigkeit entlang der Platte verschiebt. In einem Beispiel werden das Biegemoment und der Flüssigkeitsdruck ermittelt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, daß die Axialkraft auf das dynamische Verhalten des Systems erheblichen Einfluß hat.
    Notes: Summary An analysis is made of the problem of vibrations of a plate with an axial force resting on compressible fluid half-space, when the plate is uniform and of infinite length and is subjected to a load which moves with constant velocity along the plate. An example is provided where the bending moment and the fluid pressure are calculated. From the results of theoretical analysis, it becomes evident that the axial force in the plate has considerable effect upon the dynamical behaviour of the system.

    Description / Table of Contents: Übersicht Die Schwingungen eines auf elastischer Grundlage liegenden Balkens, der durch eine Axialkraft beansprucht ist, werden für den Fall analysiert, daß der Balken gleichförmig und von endlicher Länge ist, und daß eine Schlagbelastung an dem Balken angreift. Die Lösung wird innerhalb der Balkentheorie gegeben, die die Wirkung der Schubverformung und die Drehträgheit berücksichtigt. In einem Beispiel wird der Schwing-beiwert für das Biegemoment ermittelt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, da\ die Axialkraft und die Steifigkeit der elastischen Grundlage auf das dynamische Verhalten des Systems erheblichen Einfluß haben.
    Notes: Summary An analysis is made of the problem of vibrations of a beam with an axial force resting on eltstic foundation, when the beam is uniform and of finite length and is subjected to an impulsive load. The solution is presented within the framework of a beam theory which includes the effects of shear deformation and rotary inertia. An example is provided where the dynamic coefficient for the bending moment is calculated. From the results of theoretical analysis, it becomes evident that the axial force in the beam and the stiffness of the foundation have considerable effect upon the dynamical behaviour of the system.

Die konstanten, gleichmäßigen Vorspannungen sind parallel zu und senkrecht zu den unendlichen Rändern der Platten. Die Lösung wird im Rahmen einer Plattentheorie gegeben, die die Wirkung der Schubverformung und die Drehträgheit berücksichtigt. Die das System charakterisierenden kritischen Parameter werden definiert. In einem Beispiel werden die Biegemomente der Platten ermittelt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, daß die Vorspannungen auf das dynamische Verhalten des Systems erheblichen Einfluß haben.
    Notes: Summary Vibrations of an infinitely long, prestressed double strip-plate system are studied analytically. The plates are attached together by a flexible core and one of the plates is subjected to a line load which moves with a constant speed along the plate. The constant, uniform prestresses are parallel to and perpendicular to the infinite edges of the plates. The solution is presented within the framework of a plate theory which includes the effects of shear deformation and rotary inertia. Critical characteristic parameters of the system are defined. An example is provided where the bending moments of the plates are calculated. From the results of theoretical analysis, it becomes evident that the prestresses in the system have considerable effect upon the dynamic behaviour of the system.
