    Description / Table of Contents: Summary The contents of ascorbic acid were studied in the fruits of 250 mutants ofLycopersicon esculentum. The values of the mutants are between 20 and 76 mg%, whereas the three original varieties showed contents of 30 mg per 100 g fresh weight.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung Von 250 Mutanten der KulturtomateLycopersicon esculentum wurden die Früchte auf ihren Askorbinsäuregehalt untersucht. Die Analysenwerte schwankten zwischen 20 und 76 mg%, während die drei Ausgangssorten 30 mg Askorbinsäure pro 100 g Frischgewicht enthielten.

    Description / Table of Contents: Summary The fruits of 120 X-ray induced mutants ofLycopersicon esculentum were investigated for their ascorbic acid content. Four mutants showed an unusually high content (40–70 mg%). Two other mutants yielded a lower content (16–20 mg%) than the original varieties.
    Abstract: Краткое содержание Среди 120 исследованных рентгеноиндудир о ванных мутантов кулщтурного томата было найдено четыре мутанта с особенно высоким содержанием витамина С (40–70м (40–70%). Плоды двух других мутантов обнаружили содержание аскорбиновой кислоты более низкое чем у исходного сорта (16–20м (16–20%.)
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Unter 120 untersuchten röntgeninduzierten Mutanten der Kulturtomate wurden vier Mutanten mit einem besonders hohen Vitamin-C-Gehalt (40 bis 70 mg%) der Früchte gefunden. Die Früchte von zwei Mutanten wiesen einen geringeren Askorbinsäuregehalt (16–20 mg%) als die Ausgangssorten auf.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung Von hundert Mutanten der WildtomateLycopersicon pimpinellifolium (Jusl.) Mill. wurden die Früchte aufihren Askorbinsäuregehalt untersucht. Die in einer Tabelle angegebenen Analysenwerte schwanken zwischen 75 und 140 Prozent im Vergleich zu dem der Ausgangsform.
