Notes:
Abstract The thermal behaviour of mechanically activatedα-PbO2 was studied. Dry grinding led to the mechanochemical decomposition of this phase into aΒ-PbO2 and Pb3O4 mixture. In contrast, wet grinding prior to the mechanochemical decomposition caused significant changes in the thermal decomposition temperature and an increase in the intensity of the exothermic effect at ca. 200
