    Notes: Summary A radiochemical method was used to study PVC chlorination. A reaction mechanism was proposed based on the results obtained from chlorination of 36chlorine labeled PVC. A mechanism was proposed also for chain transfer reaction to polymer in vinyl chloride polymerization.

    Notes: Summary Self grafting of PVC has been studied by introducing a 36-chlorine labelled low molecular PVC fraction in the polymerization mixture of vinyl chloride. The fractionation of the polymer obtained follows the same pattern as a synthetic mixture of the polymer with the same fraction. It is concluded that, under those working conditions, chain transfer to the polymer with grafting has not taken place, at least in a considerable extent.

Реакция протекает через переходный комплекс гидрохлорида амина с фосгеном, образующегося на поверхности гидрохлоридных кристаллов.
    Notes: Abstract A new mechanism of the transformation of amine hydrochlorides into isocyanates during the phosgenation process was proposed on the basis of radioisotope exchange between p,p'-diamino-1,2-diphenylethane dihydrochloride (36Cl) and phosgene. The reaction proceeds through a transition complex of amine hydrochloride and phosgene, formed on the surface of the hydrochloride crystals.
