Abstract The paper describes a low-cost system for the measurement of ocular accommodation. Digitisation of the low-frequency signals obtained from the measurement is straightforward and high-speed methods are not necessary. The methods described are, therefore, of interest to workers involved in the study of low-frequency signals, which are common in biological systems.
