Description:
The concentration field was measured with various nozzle diameters, nozzle distances and inlet flow rates in Submerged Impinging Stream Mixer (SISM) using Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence (PLIF), in which the distributions of two-dimension concentration field in the mixing zone of SISM were revealed visually on basis of the characteristics of fluorescence intensity induced by laser. The concentration values of concentration field was calculated to obtain the characteristic parameters such as Correlation Dimension, Kolmogorov entropy and Lyapunov exponents that describe chaos phenomenon and reflect microcosmic mixture effect of SISM by mean of chaos theory under different operating conditions. The distributions of the three characteristic parameters were obtained under different operating conditions, in which the larger the values of chaotic characteristic parameters were, the better the microcosmic mixture effects were. The chaotic characteristic parameters that judged the chaos in the concentration field of SISM were influenced significantly by different nozzles distances, nozzle diameters and inlet flow rates. The distributions of chaotic characteristic parameters followed the similar changing regularity at the same operating conditions, by which the nozzle distance increased, the three chaotic characteristic parameters firstly increased and then decreased, all these chaotic characteristic parameters decreased with the nozzle diameter increasing and increased with the inlet flow rate increasing.
