Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) based on poly (vinyl alcohol) were prepared withdimethyl sulfoxide as a solvent. Prepared SPEs form the 'fast cationic transport process' and lithiumion hopping through 'fast cationic transport process' is occurred. In this study, we observed thedependence of ionic conductivity on the drying time of solvent and there was particular relationshipbetween ionic conductivity and the amount of residual solvent. Especially, we investigated theinfluence of solvent on cation mobility in the ‘fast cationic transport process’ and we found that thesolvent acted as a bridge to connect neighboring ion aggregates and made the ion hopping easy
