Abstract We are discussing different aspects of single-and multiparticle spectra produced from a source with very high particle density in phase space. In this case the probability to have many particles in the region of the interferometry peak will be large and it will be necessary to correct for the many-body Coulomb interaction to extract the interferometry effect. Our estimates for average transversal momentum show that, if the maximum predicted multiplicity will be achieved at LHC with a large lifetime of the system, the influence of 3-body Coulomb interactions will only be at a 5% level. Normally usual Gamow corrections can be applied and the longitudinal and sideward projections can be measured. The outward projection of the correlation function may be masked by the Coulomb interaction. As to the problem of the resolution of detectors, we note that because the system is expanding, the momentum resolution need not improve inversely proportional to the total geometrical size of the source. Our estimates points to reasonable requirements for detector resolution for future pion interferometry.
