Conclusions A study was made of the physical-technical properties of granules obtained from magnesia-silicate natural raw materials by a process involving blowing the fusions. A relationship was identified between the structure and phase composition of the granules and the composition of the original raw materials. It was shown that the phase composition of the spherical granules (also the solid ones) can be represented by the different sections of the Mg2SiO4-Fe2SiO4 system; in some cases we noted the presence of monticellite.
