Conclusions 1. A conformational analysis of the chains of polydifluoromethylene oxide and poly-tetrafluoroethylene oxide was performed. The uniquely high thermodynamic flexibility (hyper-flexibility) of the chains of these polymers, which have extremely small values of Kuhn's segment and the characteristic ratio compared to the values for a chain with free rotation, is determined by the similarity of the size of the F and O atoms and the lengths and dipole moments of the C-F and C-O bonds. This results in the mutual independence of the states of rotation of the pair of bonds adjacent to the oxygen atom. 2. The experimental and calculated values of the unperturbed size of the chains of di-fluoromethylene oxide and tetrafluoroethylene oxide copolymers are in satisfactory agreement.
