Conclusions 1. The use of a double half-wave rectifier circuit in capacitance frequency meters is undesirable, because, under otherwise identical conditions, it approximately doubles the nonlinearity of the calibration dependence, or decreases the limiting output voltage of the measuring circuit, in comparison with a single half-wave rectifier circuit. 2. Because of its dependence on the temperature of the surroundings, the voltage UCE causes an additional error, which must be considered when calculating the temperature compensation of the measuring circuit. 3. It is expedient to calibrate the frequency meter at the optimum frequencyf 1≈3/4fm, for this leads to an increase greater than a factor of 1.5 in the voltage across the load resistance, or in the accuracy of the measurement.
