Notizen: Conclusions The above method of simulating a sudden change in the rate of flow by clamping the rotating part of a flowmeter transducer for the purpose of determining its time constant is very simple and easy to produce, and can be recommended for application in any laboratory or workshop. This method can be applied to flowmeters and other similar instruments.

Notizen: Conclusions 1. The proposed form of the calibration relationship is confirmed satisfactorily by experiments with flowmeters of two different constructions. 2. The existence of a self-simulating region with respect to π2 in the receivers types R-I and R-II opens up possibilities for making turbo-tachometric flowmeters insensitive in the range of measured flows to variations of viscosity and, hence, to the temperature of the liquid. 3. The compiling of general or individual calibration curves for existing types of turbo-tachometric flowmeters will provide the possibility of introducing corrections to the instrument readings taking into consideration the viscosity and density of liquids. 4. Further extended research is necessary in order to standardize the receiving converters for turbo-tachometric flowmeters.

Notizen: Conclusions 1. The use of a double half-wave rectifier circuit in capacitance frequency meters is undesirable, because, under otherwise identical conditions, it approximately doubles the nonlinearity of the calibration dependence, or decreases the limiting output voltage of the measuring circuit, in comparison with a single half-wave rectifier circuit. 2. Because of its dependence on the temperature of the surroundings, the voltage UCE causes an additional error, which must be considered when calculating the temperature compensation of the measuring circuit. 3. It is expedient to calibrate the frequency meter at the optimum frequencyf 1≈3/4fm, for this leads to an increase greater than a factor of 1.5 in the voltage across the load resistance, or in the accuracy of the measurement.
