Notes:
A method for computing a spatial intersection of an arbitrary number of rays is demonstrated. The method assumes that the intersection is performed after the photographs have been oriented. It can be used to advantage in various problems, especially when dealing with the determination of coordinates of a point from more than two photographs. The co-ordinates are computed from an adjustment procedure and they refer to a point whose weighted distances from the respective rays are minimised, thus basing the whole solution on a sound geometrical principle. In addition, the method permits the derivation of accuracy estimates for the solved values.
