Notes:
Summary In Florida a seasonal periodicity in the occurrence of Saprolegniaceae prevails. Eccentric oospore fungi may be isolated during the entire year, but are most common in warm weather (20–30° C). Centric and subcentric oospore fungi are isolated most frequently during the months of cooler weather (2–22°C). A more representative flora will be found if water and soil collections are made during cool weather.
