Notizen: Abstract Forty-eight sets of the saturated liquid densities and bubble-point pressures of the binary HFC 152a + HCFC 142b system were measured with a magnetic densimeter coupled with a variable-volume cell. The measurements obtained at four compositions, 20, 40, 60, and 80 wt%, of HFC 152a cover a range of temperatures from 280 to 400 K. The experimental uncertainties in temperature, pressure, density, and composition were estimated to be within ±15mK, ±20kPa, ±0.2%, and between −0.14 and ±0.01 wt% HFC 152a (−0.01 and + 0.14 wt% HCFC 142b), respectively. The purities of the samples were 99.9 wt% for HFC 152a and 99.8 wt% for HCFC 142b. A binary interaction parameter, k ij , in the Peng-Robinson equation of state was determined as a function of temperature for representing the bubble-point pressures. On the other hand, two constant binary-interaction parameters, k ij and l ij , were introduced into the mixing rule of the Hankinson-Brobst-Thomson equation for representing the saturated liquid densities.

Notizen: Abstract We have made PVTξ measurements of R115 and R114 at temperatures from 296 to 443 K, pressures from 0.4 to 9.8 MPa, and densities from 153 to 1387 kg·m−3, for four compositions, namely, 25, 50, 75, and 100 wt% R115. The data were obtained along isochores. The uncertainties in temperature, pressure and density are less than ±8 mK, ±2.2 kPa and ±0.1%, respectively. Using the experimental measurements on 100 wt% R115, we have validated our experimental apparatus and measurements. Furthermore, from the PVTξ measurements for 75wt% R115, 50wt% R115, and 25wt% R115, we have determined dew points and bubble points enabling us to construct the dew- and bubble-point curves for each composition. Our measurements also yield the critical point of R115 and R114 as a function of the concentration of the mixture.

Notizen: Abstract A new automated adiabatic flow calorimeter was developed which enables one to measure the isobaric heat capacity, C p, of pure fluids and their mixtures in the liquid phase. The calorimeter has been carefully designed to keep the heat loss from the sample fluid as small as possible being regarded as negligible. The experimental apparatus constitutes a closed circuit of the sample circulation using a combination of two mounted metallic bellows and a metering pump. The present apparatus is designed to measure C p at temperatures to 500 K and pressures to 15 MPa and is also applicable to measurements in the critical region as well as the region near the saturated liquid state because of its excellent mass flow rate control stability and the high adiabatic efficiency of the calorimeter. The C p of liquid refrigerant 114 (R114) has been measured at temperatures from 275 to 415 K and pressures up to 3.2 MPa including the critical region with experimental uncertainty of less than ±0.4%. The heat capacity of saturated liquid R114 has also been derived from the data measured in the single phase.

Schlagwort(e): CFC alternatives ; nonazeotropic refrigerant blends (NARBs) ; refrigerant mixtures ; refrigerants

    Thema: Physik
Notizen: Abstract This paper reviews the thermophysical properties of nonazeotropic refrigerant blends (NARBs), which are prospective working fluids, especially for advanced heat pump systems as well as for other industrial applications such as ultra-lowtemperature freezers for medical use, domestic air-conditioners, etc. After a brief introduction on the thermodynamic behavior of NARBs, the current state of thermophysical-properties research for NARBs, which are possible candidates for CFC alternatives, is reviewed. The thermophysical properties discussed in this paper include not only thermodynamic properties such asPVTx properties, vapor-liquid equilibria, critical parameters, etc., but also transport properties such as viscosity and thermal conductivity. Emphasis is placed on the most recent results resulting from an extensive research project partially supported by the Japanese Association of Refrigeration (JAR) on the occasion of its 60th foundation anniversary, celebrated in 1985. In view of the urgent demand to accumulate information on various thermophysical properties of CFC alternatives including R134a and R123, some of our current activities in Japan are presented. A task force to provide a set of reliable thermophysical properties for engineering use of CFC alternatives has been organized with partial support from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Japan.
