    Notes: Summary The presence of enamel on urodele (Megalobatrachus japonicus) and anuran (Rana catesbyana) teeth has been shown by birefringence and the identification of the stripes (lines) of Retzius. The enamel forms a continuous cap on the distal part of the bicuspid teeth.
