    Drie steltmuggen nieuw voor Nederland (Diptera: Limoniidae) (2014)

    Description: Steltmuggen lijken op langpootmuggen en zijn daar nauw aan verwant. Veel soorten zijn groot en karakteristiek gekleurd, maar toch zijn ze in Nederland nog weinig bestudeerd. Dit artikel bewijst dat er nog veel te ontdekken valt: in één jaar tijd zijn drie soorten gevonden die nog niet uit ons land bekend waren: Atypophthalmus inustus, Molophilus niger en Arctoconopa melampodia. Hiermee komt het totaal aantal soorten voor Nederland op 149. De nieuwe meldingen sluiten goed aan op het bekende verspreidingsgebied.

    The zoogeography of the western Palaearctic Tipulidae (Diptera). X. The Tipulidae of the eastern Mediterranean islands (1990)

    Description: A discussion is presented about the zoogeography of the Tipulidae known from the eastern Mediterranean islands; 54 nonendemic and 19 endemic species and subspecies are presently known from 25 islands. The non-endemic and endemic Tipulidae fauna of the islands close to Greece and Turkey is very similar to the fauna of the adjacent mainland. Older endemic as well as more widespread but relict species are found especially on the southern Aegean islands and on Cyprus. The Tipulidae fauna of the Kikl\xc3\xa1dhes apparently is at large of quite recent, probably late Pleistocene origin.
