Description: Low background far infrared detector responsivity and low background spectral response calibrations can be performed simultaneously with a cooled, temperature-swept blackbody. This makes the use of a cooled, low background spectrometer unnecessary in many applications. Calibrations of a beryllium-doped germanium detector showing unwanted 100-micron response, and of a gallium-doped germanium detector, are described.
