Abstract The suitability of spectrodissymmetry method by distribution analysis of poly(styrene) latexes was investigated. The light-scattering results were in very good agreement with electron microscopy data. It seems that spectrodissymmetry can provide information about patticle size in such cases where the methods of polarization or turbidity spectra are insensitive. The possibility of application of the simple Rayleigh-Gans-Debye theory (instead of the exact Lorenz-Mie theory) in the form of contour charts is presented.
