    Notes: On the Formation of a Fe2(CO)6 Complex with a (Boryloxy)allyl BridgeThe amino(imino)borane Me3Si(tBu)N=B=NtBu (1) reacts with (benzylideneacetone)tricarbonyliron (2) in 1:2 molar ratio to give a 50% yield of the hexacarbonyldiiron complex 3 with a fly-over (boryloxy)allyl bridge, which crystallizes in the space group P21/c. The structure of 3 can be described as a pyramid with Fe(CO)3 at the apex and a non-planar pentagon [-Fe(CO)3-O(BXX′)-C(Me)-CH-C(Ph)-] [X = NHtBu, X′ = N(SiMe3)tBu] as the basis, but there is no bond between the apex and the O atom.

    Notes: Further Reactions of Iminoboranes RB≡NR' with Neopentylidenetantalum ComplexesThe azaboratantalacyclobutanes [-NR≡-BR-CH(tBu)-Ta-CpCl2-] (3b, d, f, h-1; R/R′=Pr/tBu, iPr/tBu, iPr/iPr, tBuCH2/tBuCH2, Me3SiCH2/Me3SiCH2, tBu/Me, tBu/iPr, tBu/SiMe3) are formed from the corresponding iminoboranes RB≡NR′ and the neopentylidenetantalum complex [tBuHC=TaCpCl2] (2a) by [2 + 2] cycloaddition. The elimination of HCl from 3b, d, f, h and from the four known azaboratantalacyclobutanes 3a, c, e, g [R/R'equals;Et/tBu, Bu/tBu, Ph/tBu, iBu/iBu] gives the azaboratantalacyclobutenes [-NR′-BR-C(tBu)=TaCpCl-] (4a-h). X-Ray structural analyses of 4e, f show these cyclic carbenetantalum complexes to contain short Ta-C and Ta-N bonds and perhaps some transannular Ta-B interaction. The complex [tBuHC=TaCl3(THF)2] (2b) adds iminoboranes RB≡NtBu with unbranched alkyl groups (R=Et, Pr, Bu) in a 1:2 molar ratio to yield the diazoniadiboratatantalacyclohexadienes 5a-c; the product 5a adopts a non-planar ring structure in the crystal. The 1:2 reaction of 2b with tBuB≡NMes, instead, results in the cyclobutane [-N(Mes)-B(tBu)-N(Mes)-TaCl3(THF)-] (7m).

    Notes: On the Addition of Alkyldichloroboranes to Bis(η5-cyclopentadienyl)dihydridotungstenReaction of basic [Cp2WH2] (1) with the Lewis acids iPrBCl2 and tBuBCl2 does not lead to adducts of the type [Cp2WH2 (RBCl2)] [R = iPr, tBu]. The zwitterions [CpWH3(η5-C5H4BRCl2)] (R = iPr, 2a; tBu, 2b) having an exocyclic boron substituent were isolated instead in 60% yield.     Description / Table of Contents: Synthese und Reaktionen von {o-{[Bis(dimethylamino)boryl]methyl}phenyl}diphenyl-phosphanDas neue α,ω-[Boryl(organyl)]phosphan o-Ph2PC6H4CH2 (NMe2)2 (10) wurde synthetisiert und spektroskopisch charakterisiert. Die Reaktivität dieser Verbindung, vor allem gegenüber Substitutionsreaktionen am Boratom war der Gegenstand unserer Untersuchungen. Verbindung 10 reagiert mit MeOH, BCl3 bzw. HCl zu den Verbindungen o-Ph2PC6H4CH2B(OMe)2 (10 a), o-Ph2PC6H4CH2BCl2 (10 c), o-Ph2PC6H4CH2BCl2 (HNMe2) (10 d) und o-Ph2P(HCl)C6H4CH2 BCl2(HNMe2) (10 e). Die Umsetzung von 10 a mit LiAlH4 führt zu o-Ph2PC6H4CH2BH2 (10 b). Verbindung 10 e wurde zusätzlich durch eine Röntgenstrukturanalyse charakterisiert.
    Notes: The new α,ω-[boryl(organyl)]phosphane o-Ph2PC6H4CH2B (NMe2)2 (10) was obtained in good yields from the reaction of CIB(NMe2)2 with o-Ph2PC6H4CH2Li(tmeda). Five derivatives of 10 were obtained by substituting the boron-bound amino groups by reactions with MeOH, BCl3, HCl, and LiAlH4, respectively, in particular, o-Ph2(HCl)PC6H4CH2BCl2 (HNMe2) (10 e) which shows a unique P—H—Cl—H—N unit. Compound 10 and its derivatives were characterized by multinuclear NMR methods, mass spectra, and elemental analyses. In addition, the structure of 10 e · 1.5 C6H6 was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.

Die Reaktion von 4 mit tmeda führt zu Verbindung 7. Verbindungen 4-6 sind monomer, gelb, thermochrom (Farbvertiefung zu rot beim Erhitzen), diamagnetisch, kristallin, lipophil und im Vakuum sublimierbar. Verbindung 7 ist farblos. Verbindungen 6 und 7 wurden durch Kristallstrukturanalyse charakterisiert. Verbindung 6 weist eine dimere Struktur auf, in der schwache ηC6…Sn Kontakte auftreten.
    Notes: Cyclic bis(amido)tin(II) compounds 1,2- [R = SiMe3] (4), SiMe2But (5) and CH2But (6)], as well as (4)2(μ-tmeda) 7 have been obtained either from (i) the corresponding dilithium compound 1,2-C6H4[N(R)Li]2 1-3 and SnCl2 for 4-6, respectively, (or for 4) 2 1 + [Sn(μ-Cl){N(SiMe3)2}]2; or (ii) 1,2-C6H4[N(H)R]2 + Sn[N(SiMe3)2]2 for 4-6; or for 7 from 4 and tmeda. Compounds 4-6 are monomeric, yellow, thermochromic (becoming redder on heating), diamagnetic, crystalline and are lipophilic and sublimable in vacuo. Compound 7 is colourless. The molecular structures of 6 and 7 have been determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. Compound 6 crystallises in bimolecular aggregates, in which there is a weak η-C6 … Sn contact.
