Description / Table of Contents:
On the complex Formation between Boron and the Chalkogen Atoms Sulfur, Selenium, and TelluriumDialkyl- and diarylchalokogenides R2E (E=S, Se, Te) and triphenylphosphine chalkogenides (C6H5)3PE (E=S, Se) easily form crystalline complexes with the boron halides BCl3, BBr3, and BI3. The results of ligand exchange reactions as well as 1H n. m. r. measurements allow conclusions on the Lewis acidity or basicity of the reaction partners.
Notes:
