    Description / Table of Contents: Pentafluoro-orthoselenic Acid Disulfurylfluoride and Pentafluoro-orthoselenic Acid TrifluoroacetateFrom the reaction of pentafluoro-orthoselenic acid and sulfur trioxide only one compound could be prepared having a pentafluoroselenium group: F5Se-O-SO2-O-SO2F. In fluorine magnetic resonance of this compound a coupling over a range of six bonds can be observed. Selenium oxide tetrafluoride could not be prepared. The reaction of mercury bis(pentafluoro-orthoselenate) with trifluoroacetylchloride yields pentafluoro-orthoselenic acid trifluoroacetate.
    Notes: Bei der Reaktion von Pentafluoro-orthoselensäure mit Schwefeltrioxid tritt als einzige Verbindung mit erhaltener Pentafluoroselen-Gruppe F5Se-O-SO2-O-SO2F auf, deren 19F-Kernresonanz eine Kopplung über sechs Bindungen hinweg anzeigt. Selenoxidtetrafluorid, SeOF4, wurde nicht gefunden. - Pentafluoro-orthoselensäure-trifluoracetat entsteht bei der Reaktion von Quecksilber-bis(pentafluoro-orthoselenat) mit Trifluoracetylchlorid.

    Description / Table of Contents: New Derivatives of the Pentafluoroorthoselenic Acid, Halogene Derivatives of the Pentafluoroorthotelluric AcidThe new compounds Rb+[Br(OseF5)4]-, NO2+[OSeF5]- ⇌ NO2—OSeF5, and F5SeO—SeO—OSeF5 show the possibilities of the OSeF5 group. The new derivatives Br—OTeF5 and J(OTeF5) are compared with their homologue selenium derivatives, and the differences between selenium and tellurium compounds are explained.
    Notes: Darstellung und Bindungseigenschaften der neuen Verbindungen Rb+[Br(OSeF5)4]-, NO2+[OSeF5]- ⇌ NO2—OSeF5 und F5SeO—SeO—OSeF5, die die OseF5-Gruppe in der Vielfalt ihrer Möglichkeiten zeigen, werden beschrieben.-Anhand der ebenfalls neuen Verbindungen Br—OTeF5 und J(OTeF5)3 können die Unterschiede zwischen homologen Selen-und Tellurverbindungen erklärt werden.

    Description / Table of Contents: New Derivatives of the —OSeF5 and —OTeF5 GroupsThe compounds O2N—OSeF5, OPF2—OSeF5, As(OSeF5)3, and Sb(OTeF5)3 are described and their structures are discussed. By fluorination of As(OTeF5)3 the new oxide fluoride of tellurium, trans-F2Te(OTeF5)4, was obtained.
    Notes: Die Verbindungen O2N—OSeF5, OPF2—OSeF5, As(OSeF5)3 und Sb(OTeF5)3 werden beschrieben und ihre Struktur erläutert. Ausgehend vom As(OTeF5)3 gelang durch Fluorierung die Herstellung eines neuen wohldefinierten Oxidfluorids des Tellurs: trans-F2Te(OTeF5)4.

The formal anhydride of pentafluoroorthoselenic acid, F5SeOSeF5, is the main product of the decomposition of the xenon salt (F5SeO)2Xe Iodine compounds like F3SeOJ and (F5SeO)3J are not stable and could only be detected by their 19F n.m.r. spectra.
    Notes: Darstellung und Eigenschaften der Verbindungen F5SeOCl, F5SeOBr, (F5SeO)3Br neben dem schon bekannten F5SeOF werden beschrieben Bei der Synthese des letzteren fällt auch das bekannte Peroxid F5SeO-OseF5 an. Das formale Anhydrid der Pentafluoroorthoselensäure, F5SeOSeE5, konnte bei der Zersetzung des Xenonsalzes (F5SeO)2 Xe erhalten werden Entsprechende Jodverbindungen, F5SeOJ und (F5SeO)3J, sind zersetzlich und konnten nur anhand ihrer 19F-NMR-Spektren nachgewiesen werden.

    Description / Table of Contents: Transition Metal PentafluoroorthochalcogenatesPreparation and properties of some transition metal pentafluoroorthoselenates and -tellurates (1-4) are described. The transition metals always have their highest valency state: TiIV, VV, CrVI, WVi. For the first time a molecule containing five pentafluoroorthochalcogene groups attached to a central atom was made: WCl(OTeF5)5.
    Notes: Darstellung und Eigenschaften einiger Übergangsmetall-pentafluoroorthoselenate und -tellurate (1-4) werden beschrieben. Die Übergangsmetalle liegen stets in den höchsten Wertigkeiten vor: TiIV, VV, CrVI, WVI. Erstmals gelingt die Einführung von fünf Pentafluoroorthochalcogen-Gruppen an ein Zentralatom in der Verbindung WCl(OTeF5)5.

    Description / Table of Contents: On the Way to Pentafluorocyclopentadienyl Anion: 1,2,3,4,5-Pentafluorocyclopentadiene1,2,3,4,5-Pentafluorocyclopentadiene (8) was obtained in three steps from hexachlorocyclopentadiene (2). It is a typical cyclopentadiene. Thus, it dimerizes reversibly already at - 78°C.
    Notes: 1,2,3,4,5-Pentafluorcyclopentadien (8) wurde in drei Stufen aus Hexachlorcyclopentadien (2) hergestellt. Es ist ein typisches Cyclopentadien. So dimerisiert es - reversibel - bereits bei - 78°C.
