Description / Table of Contents: Sulfenamide als Liganden in der Übergangsmetall-Chemie.
Notes: The complexes Cr(CO)5(R′SNR2) [R′ = CH3; NR2 = N(CH3)2, N(C4H8)O. R′ = C6H5; NR2 = N(CH3)2, N(C4H4)O, N(CH2—C6H5)2, N(C6H11)2] have been prepared by reaction of the sulfenamides with Cr(CO)5 · THF and characterized by analytical and spectroscopic methods. The IR, 1H-NMR, UV-VIS, and mass spectra of the complexes support the coordination of the sulfenamide via the sulfur atom. π-acceptor abilities of sulfenamides in the prepared coordination compounds, determined from IR and UV-VIS data, were compared with those of other divalent sulfur conpounds.

Description / Table of Contents: N,N-dimethylamido trithiophosphorus acid anhydrideThe reaction between tetraphosphorustrisulfide and bis(dimethylamino)sulfane yields the title compound, which is obtained as four- (I) and six-membered (II) ring molecules. The result of an X-ray analysis of a crystal of I is reported and discussed. Reactions of the title compound with ammonia, dimethylamine, bis(dimethylamino)sulfane, and tris-n-butylphosphane are described.

Description: The flow through a 2D experimental diffuser with channel width 2.60 cm and divergence angle (2 theta) 9 or 20 deg is investigated experimentally for inlet Reynolds number 78,300 and velocity 43.9 m/s, with and without vertical rods to generate inlet turbulence in excess of the limits defined by Hoffmann (1981) and Hoffmann and Gonzales (1983). Measurements are obtained using a thermal wall-flow-direction probe and a single hot-wire velocity probe, and the results are presented graphically. Significant increases in the pressure-recovery coefficient of the diffuser (10 percent at 9 deg and 22 percent at 20 deg) are attributed to the action of turbulence to reduce distortion and delay separation, thus creating an altered flow condition with symmetrical velocity profiles.

Description: This article provides supplemental information for a Letter reporting the rate of (BBH) coalescences inferred from 16 days of coincident Advanced LIGO observations surrounding the transient (GW) signal GW150914. In that work wereported various rate estimates whose 90% confidence intervals fell in the range 2600 Gpc(exp -3) yr(exp -1). Here we givedetails on our method and computations, including information about our search pipelines, a derivation of ourlikelihood function for the analysis, a description of the astrophysical search trigger distribution expected frommerging BBHs, details on our computational methods, a description of the effects and our model for calibrationuncertainty, and an analytic method for estimating our detector sensitivity, which is calibrated to our measurements.
