Description / Table of Contents: The affinity of phenols to polyamides was utilized for the development of a chromatographic separation of phenolic substances on a perlon column. Hereby the phenol was not only held back on the surface but also inside of the polyamide, by what means the capacity of the filling material increases hundredfold, as contrasted with the pure adsorption method. As solvents water or mixtures of water with alcohol and aceton were applied.
