The 1H NMR spectrum of the Pt(0) complex Pt(trans-MeO2CCH=CHCO2Me)2[P(cyclohexyl)3] was measured and the structures of the two isomeric forms, which differ with respect to olefin coordination, were assigned. The structural study made use of a complete analysis of the 11 non-equivalent protons of the P(cyclohexyl)3 in one isomer, and this was accomplished via DQF-COSY and 13C,1H inverse heteronuclear correlation methods.
