Description: The data is a record of calcium carbonate content, total organic carbon, phosphorus content, carbon isotopes of bulk carbonate fraction and organic fraction and oxygen isotopes of bulk carbonate fraction. The ratio organic carbon over phosphorus was calculated. The accumulation rates of calcium carbonate, siliciclastics, organic carbon and phosphorus are calculated based on the astrochronologic age model from Suchéras-Marx et al. (2013). The sample are from the Chaudon-Norante section in France (43.98199229186527, 6.3245038809473675). Samples were collected in 2010. Calcium carbonate content (Dietrich-Frühling calcimeter), carbon isotopes and oxygen isotopes of bulk carbonate fraction (auto sampler Multiprep coupled to a GV Isoprime mass spectrometer) were measured at LGL-TPE, Lyon in 2010. Total organic carbon (elementary analyzer Thermo-Finnigan Flash EA 1112), phosphorus content (Perkin Elmer UV/Vis Spectrophotometer Lambda 25) and carbon isotopes of organic fraction (Thermo Fischer Scientific Delta V Plus isotope ratio mass spectrometer) were measured at the university of Lausanne in 2013. All samples are curated at LGL-TPE, University Claude Bernard Lyon1.

Description: Data from Chaudon-Norante section near Digne in France. The section is dated from the upper Aalenian to the lower Bajocian (Middle Jurassic). Samples are labelled CN. Phosphorus content quantification was based on the ascorbic acid method (Mort et al., 2007) using a Perkin UV/Vis spectrophotometer Lambda 25. The concentration of PO4 was determined by calibration of BD47 and NU81 standards. TOC was measured after decarbonatization using an elementary analyzer Thermo-Finnigan Flash EA 1112. d13C organic carbon was measured using a Thermo Fischer Scientific Delta V isotope ratio mass spectrometer. d13C-d18O carbonate was measured using a Multiprep auto-sampler coupled to a GV Isoprime mass spectrometer calibrated based on NIST NBS19. CaCO3 content was measured using a Dietrich-Frühling calcimeter based on measuring the CO2 evolved after acidification of a sample.
