Description: Extrusion testing of AZ61 alloys were conducted at deformation temperatures of 300°C to 410°C and extrusion ratios of 3, 10 and 16 respectively to optimize the process parameters. The experimental results show that deformation process parameters significantly affect microstructures and properties. Optical microscope observation shows that grains are refined greatly during hot extrusion and the mechanical properties are improved with increasing the extrusion ratio. For AZ61 alloy, the optimal extrusion temperature is 370 °C. When deformation temperature increases, more slip systems participate in the plastic deformation, which leads to the decrease of the cleavage surface. After severe plastic deformation, a remarkable improvement of ductility of AZ61 alloy has been found. The ductile fracture mechanism is gradually dominant instead of brittle fracture with increasing the extrusion ratio.

Description: In this paper, we use the finite element software MSC·PATRAN and MSC·NASTRAN to establish the FEM model. Then we analyze the racking condition strength under the conditions of inclined shipping, and discuss the stress of the hull structure, the distribution of the hot spot and the deformation of the deflection under the flexible design concept. Some general conclusions under the design concept are obtained, which will be expected to contribute to the development of the design concept of the whole ship flexible structure.

Description: The Substance-field analysis is put forward. The functional analysis method is studied to find out the problem, and an improved algorithm is put forward. The internal combustion engine is taken as an example, the harmful function is recognized, and is improved, i.e, high pressure gas is introduced to remove polluted air. The working principle of pneumatic engine is described, the thermodynamic engineering is analyzed, the energy release amounts are analyzed in the isothermal, polymorphism and adiabatic processes. It is concluded that, the isothermal process releases the most energy than the others. The expansion process of the pneumatic engine should be as close as possible to the isothermal process.

Description: In this paper, it presented the similarity research of Francis turbine draft tube pressure fluctuation between model turbine and the corresponding prototype. First, a qualitative analysis was made by runner outlet triangle velocity. Then a comparison was made between popular method and the method recommended by this paper which based on relative discharge taken zero swirl discharge as reference and dimensionless pressure pulsation amplitude taken runner outlet blade velocity head as reference respectively on model and prototype. Also a comparison of draft tube pressure fluctuation was made between model test data and prototype data from 12 power plants based on this method respectively. It had shown some similarity between model turbine and homologous prototype and had given the similarity range by statistic method. At last, a method was given concerning prototype draft tube pressure fluctuation amplitude prediction and a comparison was carried out between prediction results and...

Description: In order to reduce the noise of liquid transporting pipelines caused by the motion of the power unit, a kind of compact hydrodynamic muffler used in pipes with small diameters is proposed which achieves good vibration damping as well as hydrodynamic noise reduction. Based on the rubber damper tube, according to the structure characteristics, the muffler is composed of two main parts, the rubber damper tube and the inner noise reducing structure. Experiment on insertion loss of the muffler in stationary state is conducted. It is found that the rubber damper tube itself has a good performance at noise reducing at the frequency band considered here, total insertion loss values can reach 10 dB and the inner structures improve the performance of the muffler at low frequency band.
