Description: As an effective and economic method for flow range enhancement, circumferential groove casing treatment (CGCT) is widely used to increase the stall margin of compressors. Different from traditional grooved casing treatments, in which the grooves are always located over the rotor in both axial and radial compressors, one or several circumferential grooves are located along the shroud side of the diffuser passage in this paper. Numerical investigations were conducted to predict the performance of a low flow rate centrifugal compressor with CGCT in diffuser. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis is performed under stage environment in order to find the optimum location of the circumferential casing groove in consideration of stall margin enhancement and efficiency gain at design point, and the impact of groove number to the effect of this grooved casing treatment configuration in enhancing the stall margin of the compressor stage is studied. The results indicate that the cent...

Description: In order to provide a theoretical basis for the of construction scaffold design, the influence of the setting of tie member on the maximum bending moment of the scaffold under wind loads was studied. Based on the semi-rigid analysis of scaffold tube joints, the finite element ANSYS software is used to simulate and analyse the scaffold frame, and studying the change rule of maximum bending moment of scaffold upright tube when the setting of tie member is different. The maximum bending moment of the scaffold upright tube was obtained from simulation and analysis by using ANSYS. The comparison and analysis show that, when the tie member was deviated from the main node and only connected with the inner upright tube, the maximum bending moment of the upright tube was increased obviously, and the maximum bending moment of the inner upright tube increases significantly. Research has shown that the setting of the tie member should ensure the simultaneous connection with the inner and ou...

Description: In this paper, ceramifiable silicone rubber foam composite was prepared by silicone rubber, fumed SiO 2 , talc, frit, high silica glass fiber, foaming and vulcanizing agents. Thermal property, micromorphology, phase transformation and compressive strength of pyrolysis residues at different temperatures were discussed. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) results indicated that the amount of ceramic residues increased from 34.5% to 41.1% at 1000 °C with the increase of frit content, whereas T 5 and T max decreased by 43°C and 103°C, respectively. SEM images showed that pore size became well-distributed by adding frits to the silicone rubber. And after pyrolysis at 1000°C, bridged structure was formed well, which made the structure of residues be coherent and integrated. XRD tests indicated that new crystalline phase, MgSiO 3 , was appeared at above 1000°C. The effect of frit on compressive strength of composite at room temperature was little, but...

Description: According to the complex real-time water situation, the real-time simulation of large-scale floods is very important for flood prevention practice. Model robustness and running efficiency are two critical factors in successful real-time flood simulation. This paper proposed a robust, two-dimensional, shallow water model based on the unstructured Godunov- type finite volume method. A robust wet/dry front method is used to enhance the numerical stability. An adaptive method is proposed to improve the running efficiency. The proposed model is used for large-scale flood simulation on real topography. Results compared to those of MIKE21 show the strong performance of the proposed model.
