Description: Sensing characteristics of amperometric NOx sensor using yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) and La-based perovskite-type oxide sensing-electrode (SE) was examined. La 0.8 Sr 0.2 MO 3 (M = Co, Mn, Fe) and LaMnO 3 was synthesized by means of spray pyrolysis method. The sensor attached with La 0.8 Sr 0.2 MnO 3 as a SE showed the highest occupancy rate of NO 2 response in total current as well as low current response to CO, C 3 H 6 , NH 3 at 600°C in O 2 (21%). The response was increased with increasing NO 2 concentration in the examined range between 50 to 800 ppm. The comparison of sensing property between LaMnO 3 -SE and La 0.8 Sr 0.2 MnO 3 -SE showed the substitution Sr for La improved the NO 2 response for the sensors.

Description: Marcon B, Goli G, Matsuo-Ueda M, Denaud L, Umemura K, Gril J, Kawai S KINETIC ANALYSIS OF POPLAR WOOD PROPERTIES BY THERMAL MODIFICATION IN CONVENTIONAL OVEN Abstract : The kinetics of several poplar (Populus alba L.) wood properties during thermal modification conducted in conventional oven with air recirculation were analysed and modelled in this paper. A wide range of properties was assessed, such as: equilibrium moisture content, sorption diagram, shrinkage coefficients, specific shrinkage coefficients, mass loss, modulus of elasticity, strength and colour. The tests were executed at different temperatures ranging from 90 °C to 180 °C and with different durations. The time-temperature equivalency was checked and property modifications over time analysed through master curves in order to obtain a general model connecting together properties, treatment temperature and duration. Different activation energies arising from each property evolution with treatment temperature and duration are provided showing that every modification could occur with different kinetics. Description: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) (HIV/AIDS) remain a serious health problem in Indonesia. Jakarta has the largest number of individuals infected with HIV type 1 (HIV-1) in Indonesia; however, data on viral subtyping of HIV-1 is limited. We conducted a molecular epidemiological study on HIV-1 genes derived from infected, drug-naive individuals residing in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia with large communities of HIV-infected individuals. To determine the distribution of HIV-1 subtypes circulating in Jakarta, 43 HIV-1-infected individuals were recruited in Jakarta, Indonesia. HIV-1 gag and env genes were amplified from peripheral blood samples derived from study participants. Viral subtyping using the Recombinant Identification Program (RIP) and phylogenetic tree analysis were conducted. RIP and phylogenetic tree analysis revealed that CRF01_AE was the dominant subtype in Jakarta (40%), followed by recombina...
